Budget Committee

A Budget Committee members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a one-year term.

The Budget Committee elects from its membership for one-year terms of office, a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, and a Secretary. The Town Manager has ex-officio membership, without voting rights, on the committee.

The Budget Committee is composed of community members responsible for reviewing the proposed budget submitted by department heads and the Town Manager and shall, by vote of the majority of the Committee, make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen relative to the proposed budget as the Budget Committee deems expedient and proper in the interests of the Town.
